 I really need some sound advice i have been in a relationship with an inmate for almost 2 years now. However he claims to love me and all that and because he is were he is i dont really believe it well i dont really trust any guys.  Anyway hes is about to be released in 7 months and i feel like maybe i should just break up with him because he is a very attractive and sexy guy and i feel that he wont be able to turn down all the offers he may get especially being that he has done so much time.  I feel like him being released is going to cause me stress, and competition for my man once he sees all these women with the things i dont have he will be history  I dont know what to do may be due to the fact my selfesteem hasnt always been its best i dont know but should i just end it before he gets out is the question to avoid unnessasary agony? should i give him a chance?Also i see that my selfesteem issues are already taking its toll on our relationship please help

 I do want to say that, if you decide to pursue this relationship, please just be careful.  I also want to add that the low self esteem is something that you do need to work on.  I have also had to work on it.  It does take some time, but you'll find that there are plenty of guys out there that would be better for you and that will also like you.  If nothing else, this guy does not deserve you.

Where do I begin?

I'd drop this guy like a hot potato....

I worked in our state's penitentiary for 20 years.....and I'm not saying someone can't change..but the odds are unlikely.I've seen many "romances" like what you're in go to Hades in a Handbasket. Most inmates will use free world people to get what they want while they're still behind bars...money, canteen items........things of this sort. BEWARE!!!.

Usually, they have more than one unsuspecting female that they're promising things about "when I get out"...Horsefeathers! I wouldn't be too certain about the seven months either. Please, above all else, don't send him any money. I've overheard inmates talking about the "bitches" they have in the free world sending them money....and how big a sucker they are.

I think most states have their department of corrections on-line where you can look up information about an inmate. I'd advise you to do so. Some say they're in for "weed" or DUI....and they're rapists and other such.

I'm not trying to be discouraging......just trying to help someove avoid the pain and heartache that I've seen these guys cause.
